The Oscars of the hospitality industry

Rudding Park in Harrogate, North Yorkshire was named ‘Independent Hotel of the Year’ at the annual Catey Awards announced last night at Grosvenor House, London. Over 1,200 of the great and the good from UK hospitality attended the award ceremony, considered The Oscars of the Hospitality industry.

One of four finalists, Rudding Park beat off stiff competition from Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Rockliffe Hall in Darlington, County Durham and Yorebridge House in Bainbridge, North Yorkshire.

Peter Banks, Managing Director at Rudding Park said “I am absolutely delighted Rudding Park has been recognised as Independent Hotel of the Year.  Our philosophy is to continually invest in the business to ensure the products and services are of the highest standard.  Combine this with some Yorkshire hospitality and we seem to have a winning formula. There are some fantastic hospitality providers out there, so I am immensely proud of the whole team for delivering such high-quality service and care.”
